Job Description -
Data Engineer

We are looking for our new Data Engineer, who will become part of our team and work directly with our team in Amsterdam. 

You are responsible for designing, building, and optimising systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at scale. You should have strong programming skills with experience handling and managing large datasets. If you’re proactive, love tech, and are

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure.
  • Optimizing data acquisition and processes.
  • Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and ensure the data pipelines meet their needs.
  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling,
  • Responsible for building algorithms for accessing and processing raw data.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and scalability of the data pipelines and systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data systems, processes, and protocols.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data infrastructure and pipeline development.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, having demonstrated significant responsibility and seniority in your previous roles.
  • Excellent skills in data cleaning, manipulation, and transformation.
  • Very strong programming skills in Python, with fluency in relevant Python libraries (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Scipy).
  • Experience with data storage solutions for time series data, specifically relational databases.
  • You are highly experienced with cloud computing platforms (AWS).
  • Experience building ETL jobs, which is currently building and maintaining data pipelines using our SaaS solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD methods (DevOps, Git).
  • Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
