NOWATCH, an innovative health technology company & premium smartwatch manufacturer based in Amsterdam, is looking for an exceptional Retail Director to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to blend cutting-edge technology with leading science in health. The NOWATCH smartwatch is our flagship product, symbolising our commitment to helping people to be healthy and have more quality time.


We are seeking a proactive and energetic Retail Director with a flair for driving retail sales and elevating the brand’s presence. As a Retail Director, you will be the face of our brand and our flaghship store in the center of Amsterdam, responsible to scale our retail opportunities to other regions once we have found the perfect retail flow for the Amsterdam location.



Key Responsibilities

  • Innovative Retail Experiences: Eager to implement creative store activities, marketing / PR campaigns, store-in-store setups to boost sales and enhance customer engagement & experience.
  • Sales Engagement & Training: Drive retail sales by training the store team to reach their best sales pitch. Focus on building the customer base and visitor count.
  • Producing sales guidelines and Product Showcase: Engage all customers with a Sales playbook, demonstrating how NOWATCH is good for everybody that cares about their health.
  • Growth opportunity: Develop comprehensive knowledge of NOWATCH retail opportunities or collaborations to build more touchpoints.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and lead the team of storehosts, ensuring understanding and implementation of sales strategies and reaching the targets while being Onbrand.
  • Operational Excellence and Compliance: Master and maintain all retail business processes and offerings, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and optimizing store efficiency.


Job requirements

Ideal Candidate

    • Proven retail manager experience (minimum three years), ideally in the watch (or fashion) industry.
    • Ability to build a strategy of visitor flow, re-marketing and focusing on consultative selling.
    • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with everybody, energising the store staff and make every customer a referral superfan.
    • Native proficiency in English; additional languages like Dutch/German/French are advantageous.
    • Full-time availability, flexibility for weekend shifts.
    • Passion to reach sales volumes, scaling the flagship store up new stores around the world by delivering top-notch customer service.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and adept in process management.
    • Enthusiastic about scaling and spreading NOWATCH retail locations around the world
    • Available to start immediately.
